8-WEEK GRIEF
& BEREAVEMENT
SUPPORT GROUP

The Compassionate Care Hospice Society is here to help. Our certified & experienced grief facilitators will teach strategies to cope with your grief and make life more liveable.

 

This completely confidential 8-week support group will help you walk through the thick fog of grief, providing new tools to help navigate everyday life. We are offering this program free of charge to our community.

In January of 2023 CCHS had the privilege of hosting a canteen at West Central High School during their Drama Club performances of "Ghost Hunt". We sincerly appreciate the opportunity to raise funds and awareness for our organization.

Many thanks to West Central High school for offering CCHS this opportunity and to our volunteers who took time out of their busy schedules to make this happen!

The Compassionate Care Hospice Society (2016)

Is dedicated to providing hospice care within the community in a home or home-like setting to all individuals and their loved ones.
We do this with respect, dignity, empathy and compassion to meet physical, spiritual and emotional needs through the end of life and bereavement journey, using fully-trained professionals and volunteers.

HOSPICE SUITE

We offer a fully functioning, apartment style, hospice suite. This is available to individuals during their end stages of life with no cost to the individual utilizing the suite. This suite is inclusive of meals, medical equipment, comfort-care items, and medical professional staff for the palliative individual. This allows for the individual to maintain a comfortable quality of life, surrounded by their loved ones, while ensuring medical needs are met.

COMPASSIONATE VOLUNTEERS

Fully trained local volunteers for:

  • For respite care

  • For support in home, facility or hospice suite

  • For companionship

  • Emotional, psychological and spiritual support

  • Help for families coping with loss and grief during illness and bereavement.

 

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT

CCHS provides individual and group support.

 

COMMUNICATION and ADVOCACY

For individuals and their families and friends; journeying with them in whatever support they need.

Supporting other communities launching similar initiatives.

MODEST

OUR SUITE WELCOMES YOU TO BRING SOME SMALL ITEMS SUCH AS A FAVORITE BLANKET OR PICTURES OF YOUR LOVED ONES.

PRIVATE

OUR SUITE IS A

SELF-CONTAINED, ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT STYLE SUITE. THIS INCLUDES A LIVING AREA, SMALL KITCHENETTE, PRIVATE BATHROOM AND A DINING ROOM. AN EMERGENCY CALL SYSTEM IS IN PLACE FOR YOUR SAFETY. FAMILY ARE WELCOME TO STAY OVER NIGHT WITH ACCESS TO TWO SEPARATE PULL OUT BEDS.
